Jon Linn Aerial Photography produces fine-art prints of Maine landscapes and offers aerial drone photography services. Jon holds an FAA Part 107 Certificate for operation of sUAS (small un-manned aerial systems).

 

Landscape Photos

Jon produces fine art photo prints for display and sale. His fascination with aerial drone photos is based on discovering new perspectives of familiar structures and locations. 

 

Jon shuns bright and colorful images, preferring to grasp viewer’s attention with ‘mood and drama’ through depth of texture, layers of distance and shadowy contrast. Our photos are printed at 16:9 aspect ratio (like movie screens and TVs), metal prints with satin finish.

 

Metal Prints

Jon uses services of prominent photo labs to produce metal prints ready to hang. Metal prints are produced through a dye-sublimation process using heat to infuse colored dyes into the surface of aluminum plate. This produces a long-lived durable glare-free surface without the need for glass or frame. Full sized prints are 24” wide x 13½” high.

Holmes Mill

“Holmes Mill” is a village of Belfast in the area of Jon’s home. Holmes Mill was a manufacturing and residential hub in the 19th century with a series of mill-dams along the Passagassawaukeag River.
