GNP paper mill in East Millinocket, Maine. Through the 20th century the largest paper maker in the world, GNP’s two Millinocket mills declined and ceased operation finally in 2008. The image shows the boiler house still standing and the hydro works still in operation. The rest of the papermaking structures are gone or in ruins.
